Recycling at home is at least we all can do to reduce environmental pollution. The amount of trash we throw away everyday is increasing due to things like increasing population and lifestyle. We can't continue to landfill or burn it forever.
There are lots of reusable materials from we can do something useful and be beneficial for us and for the environment. You can read more about recycling here.
Last year I've made a Light-bulb Ornaments from wasted light-bulbs. I've another full box waited to be done but before I've started painting I've found this dry out acrylic paint cups so I said to myself why throw them out, they are so colorful I can use them like ornament on my Christmas Tree.
So I started, the tutorial is below...
Materials:
- used paint cups
- scissors
- hot glue gun
- liquid glue or clear nail polish
- ribbons
- glitters
The easiest part is putting the ribbon, just open the cap, place the ribbon like is shown on the picture above and close it.
To stay upwards I decided to stick the ribbon on the sides of the cup with a hot glue gun. If you don't have a hot glue gun, liquid glue can do the job but you'll have to wait longer to dry out.
There are millions of choices you can do the decoration, you can add more ribbons, blindfolds, glitters, or anything it will came up on your mind.
If you choose to add glitters just put a thin coat of clear nail polish or liquid glue then place the glitters (I placed them just on the caps and leave the rest with it's own color) and wait to dry.
And your ornaments are done.
Reduce, reuse and recycle when you can, because every little bit counts!
Have a happy holidays and thank you for reading.
